Â鶹´«Ã½ Community,
I am appalled and saddened by what transpired at our nation’s Capitol today. Our divisions are greater than they have been for more than a century, and our country is being challenged from within.
I am concerned, but I remain hopeful. I see what happened in Georgia yesterday, and I am excited and inspired. Not because a particular political party won; because a Black man and a Jewish man won.
As we move forward at Â鶹´«Ã½, we must invest more energy in promoting informed, respectful debate. We must honestly interrogate the difference between opinions and facts. We must be part of the healing of our nation and shoring up of our institutions, a process that can begin with a peaceful transition of power, a hallmark of our democracy.
